Day before he died, Hemant Karkare was ‘worried’

Salian recalled she last met Karkare hours before he was killed by Ajmal Kasab and Ismail Dera Khan on 26/11. “I met him in his office at 7pm. We left together after discussing the status of the Malegaon case. He had said he ‘would meet’ the next day. Neither of us knew that would never happen, that it was to be his last day alive,” she said.
